Our company consist of Eight Plants:

1-  Kufa cement plant
2- Al Najaf Al-Ashraf cement plant
3- Karbala cement plant
4- Al- Muthenna cement plant
5- Samawa cement plant
6- Babil cement plant
7- Al-basrah ( grinding)  plant
8- Annora ( lime )  plant

The southern cement state company was found according the ministry order with reference no. 2963 in 20th June 1996 and start it's work in 1st July of the same year.
The head office of the company lies in Al-Najaf Governorate about 7 km from the city of Kufa. The company plants are distributed along the southern Iraqi area.

Initiatives and Achievements
Returning Asmawa  cement plant to work in 1996 after a stop of about ten years. This was done depending on the local capabilities of our company.
In 1997 Al-basrah grinding plant was returned to work to supply the citizens of Basra, Theyqar, and Miessan with cement and to simplify the cement export operation. It is important to say that the plant was stop since 1988.
In 1998 a special studies were prepared to restart the stopped production lines by the company staff and develop the working lines. The application of these studies made the production increase from year to year.
When the company owned Samawa  cement plant in 1\9\1999, our staff start an expedition to returned the plant to work, and this was done in the second half of the next year with standard time. The plant was out of the service since 1987. It is currently working according to the production planting made by the company.
